A Fool's Paradise- Drama Production

The play gives an account of the mass migration from the Caribbean in the early 1950’s and 1960’s - to the shores of the United Kingdom. These accounts are based on actual experiences of that generation. They reminisce about their journey to the motherland, and of their hopes and aspirations based on mythical tales across the seas; where in reality, the streets paved with gold turned out to be a journey to an illusion. The play also deals with their dreams of early retirement (hence the FIVE-YEAR PLAN).
